I am finding it hard to believe that this Editorial - the last for the current year - is the twentieth that I have written.

I must begin by thanking you, readers and subscribers, for your support in buying WOBL. The print run of 625 copies means that actual readership will be well over a thousand copies. And of course I must also thank our advertisers for their valued support; and all our wonderful contributors, deliverers, and back-stage experts, too.

We have been lucky to have plenty of 'themed' articles, such as the series of Burnside legal and JLDA building articles, the new Woodstock Literary Connections, Portrait of the Month, WOBL Around The World, and many more. We will be starting a regular 'Me and My Pet' article, and I am very open to new ideas from anyone who feels so inspired.

I am particularly proud of the twenty covers we have published, and very grateful to the talented artists who have allowed their images to be used. Please write to me if you feel that you have been missed.

And please also make contact if you feel you can help in any way. We particularly need more contributions for the Letters page, which I feel should be an important part of a local magazine. There are many issues for us to get involved with, some large and some small, but all of significance in a local community. There is no shortage of controversial topics that would benefit from open (and polite!) discussion; such as Botley West, the Town Council, Potholes, the Post Office, Parking, Housing and Planning, Doctor's Surgery, etc, etc. It's not always easy to put your head above the parapet, but do please let us have more letters -and let's not always leave it to the same people to write. If you're really concerned about anonymity, we can always say 'name withheld'.
