Blenheim Park Cricket Club

The origins of cricket at Blenheim are lost in the mists of time, but there is evidence of organised cricket at the Palace as early as the middle of the nineteenth century.

A surviving scorecard records Blenheim Park Cricket Club hosting Exeter College, Oxford on 12 June 1846. When the scorecard resurfaced, the clubs resolved to mark the 180th anniversary with a return fixture.

On 28 June 2026 the teams met again on the South Lawn. Blenheim Park made 268 from their fifty overs, led by an unbeaten 134 from Finn Spearman, before restricting Exeter College to 227 and winning by 41 runs.

The result preserved Blenheim Park's 100% record in a fixture separated by 180 years.
