Bladon Community Choir

Considering that the Bladon Community Choir was giving its first public performance at St Martin's Church, this was a remarkably strong performance.

Numbering only twelve singers, they produced a focused and often powerful sound under the direction of Maria Razumowskaya. The programme included spirituals from Michael Tippett's A Child of Our Time, with guest soprano Katherine Macaulay adding thrilling emotional power.

The musical items were interspersed with poetry read by members of the choir and village. The choir welcomes new members from Bladon and the surrounding area.
